Cody Ellis hits six three-pointers

Third generation Wildcats basketball product – Cody Ellis has a night out in a OT loss.

Saint Louis freshman forward Cody Ellis had 20 points including six three-pointers in a loss to George Washington. Ellis added six boards and three assists.

The West Australian born forward has been worth the wait for the Billikens. He is averaging 13.8 points and three three-pointers through five games since becoming eligible. In his last two games, he is 10 of 19 from long range.

Community and State level basketball in Western Australia will be the major beneficiaries of the new Western Australian Basketball Centre.

Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron today officially opened the new multi-purpose facility and said it would serve WA basketball well into this century and provide an enormous benefit to sport in WA.

“This complex has been designed to cater for community, State and national level basketball competition – the eight courts, including the two show courts with seating for up to 2,000 spectators, will provide an enormous boost to the game,” Mr Waldron said.
